Rental Terms and Conditions:
(Subject to UAE Law and Jurisdiction)

1. Terms & Condition:
 

If a renter goes for any adjustment or changes to the reservation the rate will be changed. In such cases online rates and terms will be void and would not be used in conjunction with any promotions, corporate, walk-in or contracted tour/travel rates. Promotional rates for online booking are governed by additional terms and conditions as stated against that promotion. It is mandatory that the Hirer should be minimum of 21 years of age who has a credit card and a valid driving license. The Company shall not guarantee make or model against any reservation. The company reserves the right to offer an alternative made or model of the car within the same group if the specific car group/make/model is not available at the point of pick-up. Failure to pick-up their reserved vehicle by the hirer will render this booking confirmation advise cancelled. We provide unlimited kilometers only within the parameters of UAE. Hirers need to drive on the right side of the road. Online booked reservations will not be able to avail Frequent flyer miles/points.

Extra charges will be levied for all additional coverage such as Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Super Damage Waiver (SDW), traffic-parking or driving fines, Petrol and Re-fuling charges, Road-Tolls, Airport Parking, One-Way Drop Charge, Baby Seats, Deliveries and Collections. Renters need to return the vehicles with the same fuel level as given or charges for refueling will be taken.

2. Credit Card Information
 

Renters are made no pre-authorization at the time of booking however, a credit card is requested during booking to guarantee the reservation. A signed credit card imprint will be taken while commencing the rental and a pre-authorization will be processed in the amount of the expected total charges before the rental pick-up. The person reserving the care must have the credit card and driving license in his name. Following credit cards are accepted for payment: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Diners Club. All charges including rental or additional day charges, optional insurance coverage (such as collision damage waiver and personal accident insurance), any traffic, driving or parking fines or violation including a 10% service fee, road-toll, insurance excess, damage or repair costs, petrol, baby-seats, delivery and collection charges, one-way rates, airport parking or other charges posted at any later time pertaining to the rental agreement will be taken from the credit card. The charges will be automatically deducted from the credit card of the hirer.

It will be irrevocably accepted by the hirer to pay and settle all charges related to the car hire to Dollar Rent a Car (the Company) on or before return of the car. In case of an open ended monthly agreement from month to month, the renter needs to agree to settle the monthly charge at the expiry of every 30 days from the commencement date mentioned in the agreement. Failing to do so the hirer authorizes the Company to debit the monthly charge from his credit card mentioned on the Rental Contract for any extension beyond the hire agreement due date or till the time the vehicle is actually returned, whichever is later.

3. Driving License
 

It is mandatory that the hirer possesses a valid original driving license in his own name from resident country that is at least issued before one year of the hiring. Those having passports from UK, USA, France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Greece, Austria, Ireland, Spain, Norway, Canada, Poland, Finland, Republic of South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Romania, are permitted to rent a vehicle in the United Arab Emirates while on visit/transit/or tourist visa, based on their original driving licenses issued from the above countries. And those from Republic of Korea, Japan, Turkey and Greece have to get an English translation of their license from their Embassy/or Consulate here in the United Arab Emirates before renting a vehicle.

And, for them who are having Passport of all other countries it is an essential requirement that they must produce a valid International Driving License or a temporary driving permit from the nearest Traffic Department here in the United Arab Emirates before renting a vehicle. The residents of the GCC will be required to possess a valid GCC license. It is a must to have a UAE driving license for them who have a resident Visa in UAE. All requirements pertaining to license are as per UAE Laws in force and are subject to change.

4. Insurance Coverages
 

Theft-Protection & Third Party Liability

Renting rates include theft-protection and third-party liability. The company advises the hirers to obtain and produce a valid Police Report as per UAE law in case of theft/ accident and /or damage to the rental car. The UAE court verdicts will be final to settle all claims.

Super or Collision or Loss Damage Waiver (SDW/CDW/LDW)

There will be an optional waiver of the renter's liability to pay for damages to or loss of use and any related costs and expenses that may result from any collision or damage to the vehicle. Renters can purchase the waiver at the beginning of the rental and the waive will apply only when listed as an extra charge on the Vehicle Hire Agreement. The waiver will take place only when it is supported by a valid police report in the event of any damage or loss caused to the vehicle and also the vehicle must be driven in conformity with the other terms of the Vehicle Hire Agreement. The hirer will be liable for all repair costs and damages including all third party costs if he or she fails to produce an original Police report to Dollar in case of any accident or damage. Without a police report, all insurance and Third Party Claims will stand void. It is recommended by the company on commencement of the rental that the hirer opts and pays for Collision Damage Waiver or Super Damage Waiver separately at the daily rates stipulated on the tariff card.

It is advised to hirers that they will be made to bear all costs including any third-party, resulting from a damage or accident due to the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substance, as it is prohibited as per UAE Laws. All insurance will become void in such cases.

5. Insurance Excess/Deductible
 

It will be the liability of the hirer to settle the Insurance Excess or deductible amount listed on the Vehicle Hire Agreement in case of any damage or loss (including fire and theft) made to the vehicle provided it is used, operated or driven as per the Vehicle Hire Agreement.

Collision or Loss Damage Waiver may be included in certain contracted tour rates but the minimum deductible will apply as mentioned on the Vehicle Hire Agreement.

6. Mileage/Territorial Restrictions
 

Only within UAE the renters will avail unlimited kilometers. However, they may drive into Oman with prior purchase of Oman Insurance Cover note only from the Company for price ranging from AED 350 and depending on car class. Renters are strictly told not to drive to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Yemen and Kuwait. The company has recommended all hirers to discuss any out of country driving with the Company's Representative at the commencement of rental.

7. Accidents/Damages to the motor vehicle
 

If hirer meets an accident or suffers damage, he will remove the vehicle only after informing the police and obtaining a police report. The Hirer will be responsible to settle the Insurance Excess amount indicated on the Rental Contract in case of any accident or damage, provided a Police Report is submitted.

If a hirer fails to obtain a police report it will render him liable for all damages and repair costs that will include loss of use because insurance company will not compensate the Company without the police report.

The meaning of the term "motor vehicle" will be the motor vehicle hereby hired and described over-leaf together with all accessories thereto unless inconsistent with the context hereof.

It will be acknowledged by the hirer that he received the vehicle from the Company in good and roadworthy condition with air-conditioning working properly and also ensures that the radiator and oil reservoir of the vehicle were full. It will be undertaken by hirer that he will use and maintain the vehicle and return it to the Company in the same good and roadworthy order and condition, as when delivered to him at the termination of the period of hire. The hirer will bear all the cost and expenses to supply all petrol and oil necessary to keep the vehicle operational during his possession of the vehicle.

The hirer also ensures to deliver the vehicle to the Company after of every 5000 Kms of travel for servicing and lubrication or the hirer has to satisfy the company that such service has been duly carried out every 5000 Kms.

The Hirer needs to re-deliver the vehicle to the Company with its petrol and oil tanks full.

He will compensate the company for the loss that the Company may suffer as a result of his failure to comply with his obligations in terms of this clause, and other related losses.

If the vehicle develops any mechanical fault during the hire period, it is the duty of the Hirer to immediately deliver the vehicle to the Company for repairs. It needs be acknowledged by the Hirer that he/she will bear the cost of any repair work done or put in hand by him without the prior consent of the Company.

If the vehicle is being damaged in any way whatsoever during the period of hire, the company shall be entitled to take possession of the vehicle instantly and carry on any necessary repair work without prejudice to any right which the Company may have against the Hirer for damages. In such cases, the period of hire shall be understood to continue and it will be the duty of the Hirer to pay the Company the basic rental until the repairs have been completed.

It will be the duty of the Hirer to bear the cost of any damage that arises out of any peril against which the vehicle is insured that may go up to a maximum amount as mentioned on the Vehicle Hire Agreement. The Hirer will be made to pay the Company the full amount of such compensation if the compensation in respect of such damage is not to be recoverable at law or the company is in its sole discretion to decide that such compensation is not economically recoverable from any other person.

It will be the duty of the Hirer to indemnify the Company against all claims made against the Company that may arise from the use of the vehicle or the manner of its driving during its possession of the hirer in terms of this agreement.

It will be warranted and undertaken by the Hirer that he/she is duly licensed to drive the vehicle. The license of the Hirer will also be exhibited to the Company whenever the company demands. The vehicle will not be driven by any person who is not duly licensed. The vehicle will not be used for races, towing, competition of any sort or for the transport of merchandise or the transport of passengers for hire or in the course of business by the hirer of any other person.

The vehicle will not be used to transport articles that might cause damage to the vehicle or its upholstery. Liquor, drugs or any other contraband items or any other item prohibited by law will not be transported by the vehicle. The vehicle will not be used by the Hirer for the rental or sub-letting or giving up possession thereof during the period of hire. In case of any fault in the vehicle or any accident in which it is involved or if the vehicle is stolen, it will be the duty of the hirer to immediately inform the company and further complete such forms as may be required by the company and generally assist the company in any claim which the Company may make against its insurers arising out of any such accident or theft. The Hirer ensure and testify that all information given by him and statements made on the Vehicle Hire Agreement are true and correct to his knowledge, and the Vehicle Hire Agreement is based upon the faith of such statements. If the Hirer commits any violation of any term of this Agreement or if any person during the period of hire uses the vehicle in a manner which the Company considers prejudicial to its rights and interest therein, the Company will be in a legal standing to cancel this agreement instantly and recover the vehicle without prejudice to the rights of the company to claim the hire charges due in terms of this agreement and/or damages. The domicillium citandi at executandi has been chosen by the Hirer at this present residential address where all notices and processes may be served upon him. It will be the responsibility of the Hirer to protect the vehicle against any loss and damage that may result due to carrying/transporting contraband goods or any other prohibited items by law and by committing any illegal act/omission under the laws of U.A.E or the laws of any other countries, where the vehicle is being used by the Hirer. The Company does not take any responsibility responsible regarding any of the Hirer's personal belongings left in the car. The Hirer will be held liable for his any negligence like not locking the vehicle, keeping key in the vehicle, etc. that may result into the theft of the vehicle. The Hirer will be liable for settling all parking charges levied on the company by airport authority, if he fails to give the Airport Parking Ticket to the Company's Airport Office for parking the rented vehicle at Dubai Airport.
